Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been holed up in my studio recording new music. What’s it for? I don’t know. Potentially a new record that I’d like to put out, maybe? All I know is that it has been years since I wrote a song and this feels very good.

I recently discovered fashion photographer David Burton. I love the way he was able to shoot with cars without it looking to ridiculously posed…

I have lived in my pair of Baldwin denim for the better part of a year and 3 months. I have only washed these twice and they have aged beautifully. If you are unfamiliar with how dry denim works I will try to sum it up for you…

Dry denim is not washed after it has been indigo dyed in production. Most modern denim brands come pre-washed and with generic fading marks already applied. During the process of wearing dry denim that has not been washed you begin to see fading on areas that generally receive the most stress. The longer you prolong washing the denim yourself the more contrast the fade will have.

See the before pair to the left and then my pair to the right…

Starbucks, like Apple, has done a great job positioning it’s brand as a lifestyle rather then just a product. This new rebrand or evolution of the Starbucks logo does just that, it progresses the brand even further into lifestyle and further away from just a product.

The first striking thing is the omission of the name Starbucks Coffee. At first I was taken back and didn’t know what to think. But as Brand New mentioned, it’s OK… Nike does it and so does Apple. It’s true, and it speaks to my general philosophy about branding. Less is more.
